Luong was originally trained as a scientist (Ecole Polytechnique, PhD
University of Paris), and made award-winning contributions to the
fields of Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing. His love for
nature lead him to become a mountain climber, wilderness guide and
eventually a fulltime photographer with a mission to showcase the
natural and cultural diversity of our planet. His works span an
immense geographic range, from the top of the coldest mountain on
earth to under tropical seas. He is the founder of the primary online
resource for large format photography and owner of a successful
photography agency. Luong's photographs have been featured in two
monographs, many articles, books, magazines, and murals in dozens of
countries around the world.
